Fabbrica del Vapore

Fabbrica del Vapore is a space of the Municipality of Milan managed by the Culture Department – Special Projects Unit and Fabbrica del Vapore as a place for promoting youth creativity, entertainment and aggregation. The Municipality of Milan coordinates the “Creative Laboratories” project  and takes care of the programming of activities and events that take place in the  spaces subject to temporary concession . 

Once an industrial area  and home to the historic Carminati Toselli, a manufacturer of tram and railway rolling stock, the factory has been renovated, recovered and given a new lease of life starting from the new millennium.

Useful information

The Factory is open every day from 8.00 to 19.30. For visits to the events, we recommend consulting the days and times in the events calendar section . While for courses and/or activities specific to individual dealers, we recommend checking directly in the dedicated section for contact details.

Opening hours

Fabbrica del Vapore is open every day from 8 am, however the various exhibitions and/or activities have independent timetables and may end after the usual time of 7:30 pm. For the visit, it is advisable to consult the timetable of each event from time to time .

Office hours

The administrative offices are open from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 18.00.

Fabbrica del Vapore is located in via Procaccini n. 4 in Milan.

Located in the Chinatown district, it is easily reachable by various public transport: metro 5 lilac with Monumentale or Cenisio stop; tram 14-12-10 (Bramante – Monumentale – Procaccini stops).
